Personal Training & Sports Therapies (Sallynoggin College)



This one year course is suited to learners who have already achieved the Level 6 Certificate (or equivalent) in Sports, Recreation and Exercise Studies, ITEC Certificates in Gym Instruction, Exercise to Music and Sports Massage Therapy (or equivalent). It is designed to equip learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to work as a Personal Trainer and to enhance their sports massage skills with advanced sports massage specialised techniques. Learners will also be taught how to safely manage the injured player, to determine the need for referral, the importance of correct nutrition in sport and to design progressive rehabilitation programmes to return the injured player to full fitness.
