This course is aimed at students who aspire to become professional musicians and who want to learn about the Music Industry. This course creates a working environment in which students can develop skills of self expression, musical composition, presentation and performance. Live performances in the college and at city centre venues are an exciting and integral part of the course

Entry Requirements | Leaving Certificate/LCVP with a minimum of two H5/O1 and three O6/H7 grades or equivalent or QQI level 5 award with a merit profile such as PMC Music Management & Production or BTEC National Diploma with a merit profile. Applicants will be required to do an audition and supply a demo on CD/Tape, instrumental or vocal. This recording may be a sole performance or as part of a group. The academic entry requirements may be waived where outstanding talent is demonstrated at the audition and for mature applicants (21+). |
Carear Path | Graduates may gain exemptions from one or two years of degree courses in the UK or continue performing with their band or as a solo act. |
