Dance (Sallynoggin College)
This full time course offers you an opportunity to pursue a career in dance, theatre and entertainment covering a wide range of dance subjects. Learners are supported and encouraged throughout the course to develop their individual artistic talents through dance classes, choreography, drama and musical theatre.
The focus is on building a comprehensive knowledge of technique and performance skills, encouraging the learner to work to a higher level to increase your opportunities to progress as a professional dancer.

| Entry Requirements | Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent. LCA is also acceptable. Students should have a high degree of motivation and a passionate interest in dance, with some previous experience or training. Entry to the course is by audition and interview. Mature applicants welcome. Applicants may be accepted without meeting formal entry requirements. |
| Carear Path | Employment as: Dancer and performer in theatre and film. Progression to: Learners may progress to degree programmes in universities and conservatories. These include the University of Limerick, The London school of Contemporary Dance, Trinity Laban, London Studio Centre, Arts Educational, Urdang Academy, Experimental Circus Space Austria, Tilburg Academy Holland, Scottish Contemporary Dance, Guildford School of acting and at the Universities of Leeds, Chichester, Bath Spa, Roehampton and Ulster. Learners who successfully complete a QQI Level 5 certificate may be able to use their results to progress to related Level 7 and Level 8 Degree Programmes in Irish Universities and Institutes of Technology, including the BA Hons in Irish Music and Dance and the BA Hons in Voice and Dance in the University of Limerick.
