Café & Deli Skills with Barista (BTEI/Skills to Compete)
BTEI means Back to Education Initiative. BTEI gives unemployed adults the opportunity of returning to part time education, while retaining their benefits.
Skills to Compete is an initiative to support those who have lost their jobs as a result of COVID-19 and wish to re-enter the workforce. See here for details.
Café + Deli Service Skills is a part time BTEI course that aims to provide training, up-skilling and confidence to learners enabling them to have the basic skills, foundation and knowledge to further a career in an exciting and fast paced industry. The course offers participants the opportunity to learn various skills required enabling them to take up meaningful employment in the area of restaurant, hotel and catering. All materials provided.
Equipment supplied includes: Chef uniforms, use of school food knives and use of school text books.
