Courses That Award: Honours Bachelor Degree
When it comes to qualifications, the Honours Bachelor Degree is usually awarded following completion of a programme of three to four years duration and requiring 180-240 ECTS credits – although, there are examples of longer courses in several fields such as architecture, dentistry and medicine. Students with a Leaving Certificate or an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply. Plus, there are transfer options across higher education, and a number of one-year courses leading to Honours Bachelor Degrees for people who already hold an Ordinary Bachelor Degree. Institutes of Technology, Quality and Qualifications Ireland, and Universities are able to give out the Honours Bachelor Degree.
