Waterford Institute of Technology’s (WIT) outreach team is offering one-to-one virtual Drop-in CAO Clinics bookable in advance ahead of the CAO 1 February deadline.
The Central Applications Office (CAO) normal application deadline is 5:15pm on Monday, 1 February.
Claire Holden, Schools Liaison Officer at WIT says that the virtual drop-ins are ideal for a prospective student or parent who would like to talk to someone about courses and college options. She urges people to book the slots early.
“While many students can wait till later to refine their options, 1 February is an important date for students considering ‘restricted’ courses. Our pre-booked virtual drop-ins give applicants or their families the chance to ask those burning college, course and CAO questions to ensure they are making the right college choices for them. Let us help you ahead of the CAO application deadline on Monday, 1 February 2021.”
John Power, Outreach Officer at WIT issues an important reminder to prospective students who would be ideal candidates for the institute’s President’s Scholarship programme (worth up to €12,000 per person) must apply for a WIT course through the CAO at http://www.cao.ie by 1 February 2021.
Power also adds that web chat is a popular choice for many people with questions about courses and college life. “We’re answering questions live daily from 9am to 5pm (Monday to Friday). If we’re not online you can still ask your questions. Simply leave us an email address or phone number and we will reply as soon as possible.”
Web chat and pre-booked virtual drop ins will continue right up to the CAO’s 1 July change of mind deadline.
