The Maynooth University Faculty of Science and Engineering 2023 Dean’s Lecture welcomes Prof Clare Elwell on May 3rd.
Prof Elwell will be discussing her pioneering work in using invisible near infrared light to probe the human brain. Her work is paving the way for defining early markers of autism, developing more targeted care following brain injury, and for better understanding brain development in global health settings. Prof Elwell is a world expert on the transformative brain imaging technology Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS).
